I've been nauseous on and off the past month (nope, not pregnant) and I think it's the Wellbutrin which I started about a month ago. The sulfur smell it gives off when I open the bottle is enough to make me gag anyway. When I was on prozac I was nauseous for only a week. I'm thinking about just quitting the wellbutrin cold turkey. I take 150mg SR. Is it ok to just stop taking it without tapering off? I'd like to see if the nausea is still there after stopping. Prozac worked really well for me at only 10mg a day. However, I found that it made me hungrier and I'm already hypoglycemic. Has Prozac had this affect on anyone else? Wellbutrin curbs my appetite which I love, but I wonder if the curbing includes the accompanying nausea?

I am sure this is weird, but I am only nauseous after I take lithium. This is only since starting Wellbutrin. Weird?? I am better, much I think, but I seem to have a very short fuse. Like I feel fine, then noise or people just make me explode. Not a good thing since I live with people. Oh, I am on 300 mg Wellb. and I don't eat hardly at all. Amazing. Just have no appetite. None. But I have a racing heart! Ah.... I also take Prozac and Wellbutrin (20mg Prozac in the am and 150mg Wellbutrin (75mg in the a.m. and 75 mg at noon). I tried a higher dose and the SR formula, but this combination seems to work best for me. I can't speak for the SR formula, but there's no sulfur smell or and bad odor from the Wellbutrin bottle. Maybe another post was right, and somehow you got a bad batch, I don't know. I have experienced the same thing with the non-SR 75 mg "sample bottles" (green packaging). I "think"? that it may be the moisture absorber they put in the botle, but check with your pharmacist. Very common side effects of Wellbutrin at 300 mg. Without doing a "Valley of the Dolls" routine, you may want your doc to prescribed a .5 or 1 mg Xanax or Ativan until you get used to the agressive side effects of the dopamine antagonist properties of the Wellbutrin. It worked for me (Xanax, Ativan made cry at the drop of a hat)
