Question:
After going through the usual side effects of Effexor--dry mouth and eyes, a little nausea--I have worked up to the normal dose of 75 mg. But now, it seems my anxiety is increasing. Has anyone else had that symptom and does it go away or get worse? I am very medication-sensitive and have had strong reactions to other anti-depressants. It would be nice to find one that works with as few side effects as possible!!

Please share any experiences with Effexor and anxiety, especially after taking it for awhile. Does the anxiety increase? Have you had to stop taking it because of increasing anxiety? I stopped it but regretted that and started taking it again; just now am up to the normal dose as I am medication-sensitive. Also, am starting to feel cravings for chocolate again. I must have an exceptional high tolerance to a/d meds, hardly ever get any side effects and not to the extent described here at all. But...their effectiveness fo handling depression doesn't seem good at all. Though I am haveing some improvement with Efflexor 75 mg so far :) Was taking Effexor for almost 4 years in varying dosages..no cravings at all..I suffer from panic attacks also but they did not get worse on the Effexor..Lost weight on it in the beginning cause it sped me up and I lost my appetite.
