I take 150 mg SR of Wellbutrin a day and the only side effect I've noticed is tinnitus. I also only notice it right before bed since I'm in a quiet room. It really doesn't bother me but wondered if this is a common short-term side effect (I've been taking it a month) or will it occur as long as I'm taking the drug. Also, if I go off the Wellbutrin one day, will I have to worry about the tinnitus being a permanent fixture?

Since early June I have been taking 130mg SR Wellb. and I have major tinnitus! It has not gone away yet. I don't think it is permanent. I have been taking Wellbutrun for about 6 months. Only 100mg and now 200mg. I have tinnitus, but I don't think about it unless I read a post like this that makes me stop and think about it. Now that I am increasing the dose, I may notice it more. I would like to correspond with anyone about this med. Has anyone experienced sensitivity to caffeine with well.?? The wellbutrin has worked wonders for my depression, but has left me so anxious that I want to crawl out of my skin. The p doc suggessted eliminating caffeine. I have been on 300mg Wellbutrin since early June. I have been treated in ER Cardiac Unit for tachycardia, hypertension, and palpitations. I do have a panic disorder, but it has NEVER affected me this way, ever. I have always had low blood pressure, so that is new too. I am undergoing further tests to see if it is the Wellbutrin causing these cardiac problems; I do think it is meds. I have tinnitus, bothers me a great deal when I go to bed. I find Wellbutrin makes me nauseous when I take lithium. (lithium and other ADs have never been a problem) I am anxious (back on clonazepam), I drink coffee still (but much less), I am no longer depressed and I have lost weight (gained with Nardil).
