Wellbutrin And A Short Fuse?

I am beginning to suspect that Wellbutrin may be causing me to be more irritable / quick to anger. I seem to remember some posts in the past talking about this. Anyone got any feedback on that, or am I just getting pissed a lot?

How long have you been on it? I know that for the first 2 weeks or so, I also felt it wasn't working and I was irritable, but that stopped after about 4 weeks and I felt a LOT better. My experience has been that anger and irritability were major components of my depression initially and that Prozac helped significantly. Much later, when seeking relief from Prozac's side effects, I turned to Wellbutrin. Unfortunately, the anger and irritability returned and I opted to return to Prozac. These days, I take Wellbutrin for a number of days, Prozac for a few, and then back to Wellbutrin. I haven't rid myself of all of Prozac's side effects, but it's better than before. I've been on Wellbutrin for the past 6 months. I have tried several SSRIs in the past and never felt the least bit irritable, quite the opposite in fact, but the side effects.........Anyway, I have been considerably less patient since taking Wellbutrin, more irritable definitely. I mentioned this to 2 different docs and they had of course 'never heard of that one before'. It's the drug, I am positive, not in your head. I am just starting to add Serzone to the regular 400mg dose of Wellbutrin in the hopes that I will get some balance, and some patience. I have taken a little break from Wellbutrin, which I started to augment Effexor, and possibly kill that annoying side affect ( you know THAT one ). Wellbutrin boosted the Effexor, and now I just toggle the dosage of Effexor, keeping the Welbu to 300 mg b.i.d. Effexor is very short-acting in my system, so I can have a lot of freeplay with the dosage, my doc is cool with this. I cut the Welbu totally, but I can't be sure if I have a short fuse today because I had lorazepam during the day.
