Could someone please tell me how to get the messages from this group to download by date? I've tried everything I can find and I just can't find a way.
Answer:
I don't think there's a way to do that. It's not so much what you download, but what your software does with all of it after it gets it. Outlook Express doesn't do much in that respect. Take a look at Gravity -- pretty amazing. I just got it. You can do stuff like "watch" a thread -- it will automatically get the messages as well as the headers for the threads you're monitoring. You can ignore a thread, or an author's posts and it filters them out after it gets the headers. It all works as advertised, it's shareware the cost is $40. You can do a couple of things with Outlook Express. The reader automatically sorts by date, you can specify ascending or descending using the 'Sort' option undert he View menu. Additionally, you may want to specify a filter, which you can do via the Tools menu. You can set a filter to not get anything more than a week old, etc.
