Weight Lose - Seroxat - Coming Off

Question:
I put on about 2 stone while I was taking it. I didn't know whether this was the tablets or whether I just wasn't worried enough about what I was eating - any experience like this and did the weight come off after?

Answer:
I'm using this medicine too (for half a year). First i have to say that i don't understand your 1st point of remarks (about weight.....) Perhaps my english isn't good enough.....(excuse me) Your second point sounds familiar to me: i'm not depressed anymore but it isn't also a big party in my head. I think that you have to notice that feeling good is something you have to ensure yourself. The medicine helps only to decrease the worst bad feelings. Before i used seroxat i was the whole time busy of thinking about sad things. As i am a person who's is very often busy thinking about things in life (and i'm able to think very deep so i make it very complex in my head) in a sometimes very negative way, it was time to go to the "medicine man". Another complaint i had to tell hiom that i was sometimes very dizzy in my head and when i squeezed my eyelids together i had the same strange feeling. The doctor said that i was a very anxious person and i was a little bit overstrained too (because of my private life and work). The weight issue - i have put on around 12 kilos while on Seroxat, and that's a lot when you're 150cm in height. I wondered whether the tablets are partly responsible or whether it was just that I was too relaxed to care that it was going on! Since i wrote the first note i have been on a three week de-tox programme (i've lasted 6 days so far) where i have given up tea, coffee, alcohol and all refined foods, i.e., i'm living on fruit, veg and pulses, and drinking lots of herbal tea. I feel really clean and as a friend puts it "lighter" already and i really am enjoying life more.
