Question: Today was probably one of the most frightening, horrible day's of the past year or so.(Actually, in a very long time). Ok..here's my story. I started a new university program because I wanted to change careers. Well, I go to pick up my financial aid documents this morning, which takes care of tuition plus living expenses, and I was told my amount of money I recieved had changed!! Now, I applied for this in October, had it all set up, and they wait until the first day of school this term to tell me this.
Answer: I did something similar to this a few years ago. Went back to school after working, because I wanted to change my life around. So I can certainly feel for you on this. When I went back, I applied for scholarship assistance, and was awarded a small amount of money. In fact, the size of the award wasn't as important as the fact that I was given 2 bursaries based on financial need and academic prowess. But I know that most schools do maintain some funds to help deserving students who have financial difficulties. It IS very disappointing when we plan and plan and plan for a specific outcome only to have to unravel before our eyes. The chinese symbol for crisis consists of 2 characters: opportunity and conflict.
