Anxiety Depression - Does Anyone Know Why Depression Seems To Get Better In Evenings?

Question:
It seems to get better late in the evening. My Dr. said that this was a classic symptom of depression. So why does it get better in the evenings? Is there a biological reason for this?

Answer:
My depression tends to get worse at night, I'm not sure about any possible reasons for this. I think it may depend on the situation the person is in, the people they are around i dunno these are just wild guesses. All I can say is ask your doc for more information, or maybe try a search on depression or something. I want to help, but i just don't know how. My suggestion is to go completely gluten and casein free for a trial period. The first few days will be rough from withdrawal, but things should get better after that. Don't know for sure, but it may have to do with the setting of your biological daily clock. Some people do well with light therapy at, say, 10:00 a.m. which presumably resets the clock. I get that too. In fact, I seem to get a whole second wind about 8 or 9 in the evening, which sometimes makes it hard to get to sleep. Troublesome if I have to get up early.
