I dropped it five days ago and went back on Welbutrin 150SR once a day. Today it's nausea and dizziness. Any thoughts? Did I give up on the Effexor too soon? Are these withdrawal symptoms?

I had similar temporary side effects to Effexor for the 1st week or so... Thought I was going to sleep the rest of my life away and couldn't quite understand how the drug was classified as an anti-depressant. However, I decided to stick it out for a few weeks, and am very glad that I did. The tiredness wore off and now I feel better than I ever have in my life. Joined a swim team, am in the process of changing my career, and am going back to school full-time to study bio-chemistry in January. A far cry from the sedation that has been controlling my life for years!! Give it another go... I'm a believer!! its possible. i take 375mg/day of effexor and that's how i feel when i don't take it for a day or two. its usually better to wean yourself off of meds, esp. effexor. why not a combination of effexor or prozac with wellbutrin? if they are both partially sucessful maybe that'll help. but aren't all pdocs perfect gods? they know all! i found effexor great! i started out on one 37.5 a day then up to 3 a day. and i was actually happy that i'd found a drug that worked for me. That is as long as you don't ever want SEX again. this is the effect they had on me. my testes seemed to, be live it or not, shrink and go very cold. and when i could eventfully get a hard on i could not cum no matter what we (I )did. i may have been happy on effexor but my Willy was not!(NO FEELING) and as sex has all ways played a Major part in my life (it,s lot,s of fun and also free)the effexor has had to go.
