What I am really interested in is what you've done to counteract this. Does anything work? My doc has suggested Viagra and yes, I'm going to give it a shot. Has anyone tried testosterone crream?
Answer:
you are not alone.... I am on effexor right now I have no LIBIDO! I was on prozac and wellbutrin for a year or so and that seem to help my libido greatly... but thn it seem to quite working ... I am seriously considering going back to wellbutrin and prozac to have some kind of sex life.... My poor husband can only takew so much ... I too have had a major decrease in libido. Well, let's just say the desire was there but the ability to reach climax wasn't. But I have to say I don't blame it totally on the Paxil I took either. I honestly feel that the mere knowing that the Paxil could make orgasm seem unatainable was making a mess of things too. I feel (for myself at least) it was also a mind over matter thing. I was trying too hard to reach orgasm (which was never a problem before Paxil) and it made me frustrated and felt it was taking too long and in turn made me feel that my husband was also getting frustrated because he never comes before me (so in other words, if I didn't reach climax, he didn't either). I was originally on Zoloft, which was really bad, not an iota of interest. I take luvox now with some improvement. I now have about 10% of my normal sex drive back. woo-hoo! I'm newly married--so it really sucks. Thankfully, my husband is awesome. From reading all the posts on here, it doesn't seem like there's any reasonable answer. I'm glad to know the wellbutrin hasn't been helpful for the depression/anxiety. I also wondered about viagra. I guess we'll know soon enough.
