Question:
I've just been started on Luvox after managing to stay off of all medications for 10 years. Would like to hear about Luvox - it doesn't seem to be one of the more commonly used anti depressants.

Answer:
I've been taking Luvox for about two months now, and to be honest with you, I haven't seen any changes. Maybe it's just me. I'm not really sure, but I would like to see if anyone else has experienced and help with it. I prescribed it by my doctor for depression, but I read somewhere that it is also used for obsession compulsive disorder. I'm a bit confused with it. Does Luvox make other people tired? I've been taking it since the end of October. I have seen very few side effects. The depression I experienced seems to have subsided and at this point in time anyway, I feel well and I actually look forward to things again. The last time I went to the pharmacy the pharmacist said there was a "generic" version of Fluvoxamine available and it cost about 60% of the "real" stuff, you've got to smile about that. Yes the drug was originally prescribed for ocd but is now also used to treat depression. As far as my doctor is concerned he calls it a "good pill". I do feel tired in the morning (I've never been a morning person anyway) but after taking it for this long that's the only thing that bugs me really.
