Has anyone tried neurotin in conjunction with wellbutrin, using the neurotin for sleep? My Dr. just in the last two days started me on it. I now take 300 mgs. before bed.I've still had some trouble going right to sleep & well, my cat wakes me up at 4-5 AM, can't tell if it's the med. or the cat or combo. Lol. If anyone has any experience with this, hopefully good, please write to board. I was hoping to use this to get off ativan.

I've been on this combination for quite a while. Only I am taking the Neurontin for pain. It has done nothing for my sleep, and I continue to have sleep problems. Sorry. Maybe it will work better for you. I take them together. Just started Neurontin last summer to replace the Depakote I had been on. Been on wellbutrin for 4 years. Neurontin is being prescribed like crazy, for everything. That's because it's reporting almost no side effects. So far. I am noticing, and a friend, a reduced libido. But, so far no physical symptoms. It is an anti-seizure med. Those are generally used for mood control, bipolar, and anger. That is what I use it for. It did take the edge off, but I did not have a large effect for mood contol. However, it is working better in conjunction with the Wellbutrin (I went off the Wellbutrin for a few months). I am seeing it prescribed for anxiety, sleep, pain... I have not found it to be sedating. It is no where near the family of Ativan. I hear a lot people using Desaryl for sleep. Personally, I have been using Ativan also for a few months now. I know it can begin to affect REM sleep.
