I am currently taking palixl 20mgs per day. I have experienced some weight gain and some really funky dreams. I heard that prozac will work better for me without all these side effects? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I take prozac and also have some crazy dreams, I always wondered about that too! I take 40mgs of Prozac and I have the most horrific dreams, (if I were a writer I could put Stephen King to shame) and I seem to remember them in vivid detail too. As far as the weight gain goes, I have packed on a good 15 pounds since upping my dosage again in September (was trying to taper off and went down to 20mgs for awhile) I suppose some of it could be all the Dove chocolate I ate over the holidays! Seriously, I did notice that I gained weight easier even though I my exercise habits stayed the same and I even had a drop in appetite. I think this is so different for everybody though, some lose some gain. But I feel so much better with the higher dosage I can forgive the fat a little easier.
