I've seen many saying that they've gained weight on Paxil... I've gained at least 20 lbs. on Paxil and I have 3 questions: 1. Is there anyone who hasn't gained weight on Paxil? 2. Does the weight gain continue or does it level off after a certain amount of time? 3. Is there any anti-depressant that works similar to Paxil without the horrible weight gain?

I have been on 40mg of Paxil for almost a year and haven't gained a pound. I do exercise and watch what I eat. I was very worried that the paxil would put on some pounds, Yes, I gained 15 lbs, but no weight gain the past three years. Have had 2 bad withdrawal bouts, but really no day to day side effects to speak of.It has been very effective for depression. God bless to all.
