Any reactions with Wellbutrin and sleeping pills? Like Nytol, etc......

The thing to watch out for with Wellbutrin is seizures. Not that they are overly common but more common than with other meds. The info from the manufacturer warns against drinking alcohol due to increased risk of seizures. So stay away from cold medicines like Nyquil that have alcohol. Insomnia is a very common side-effect of Wellbutrin, usually it subsides in a couple of days or weeks. Mine went away after 2 or 3 days. Avoid any caffeine when you first start on it. If you are on Wellbutrin SR try taking your second dose earlier in the day instead of at night - at least eight hours after the first dose. Check with your doctor before taking anything but do not suffer too long, your doctor can prescribe something (safe) to help you sleep. I had extreme problems sleeping while on Wellbutrin. I was talking in my sleep, having complete conversations, grinding my teeth... Then I went off the Wellbutrin and have never slept better.. My advice is to look for another med before resorting to taking sleeping pills to counter act the side effects of Wellbutrin. I used to take the sleeping pills and I was a ZOMBIE the next morning.
