I would like to hear from others who are on Paxil. What are your side effects, the releif ( if any ) that you feel. How long can a person be on it? Anyone?
Answer:
I have been taking Paxil for over one year and have had 3 dose increases. I am now taking 40 mg daily and believe this is the best and most effective Rx for depression I have ever had. The side effects in the beginning were awful - mostly an overwhelming nausea but that eventually faded. Hang in there for at least a few weeks before you decide. The worst side effect I experienced was while getting used to Paxil over the first month. The first thing I felt is that my brain was evaporating! :D You know how rubbing alcohol gives you a cool sort of tingly sensation when evaporating off your skin. Well that was what the surface of my brain felt like. Weird feeling. It diminished over several weeks as I adjusted to the drug.
