I would be interested in this also. I have a Dr. that is letting me try Adderall which is a stimulant like Ritalin. I would like hearing from anyone that has taken stimulants to help with depression. I have taken all types of AD's with too many side-effects or no help.

Adding adderall to serzone made a HUGE difference for me. Now we're adding celexa, hoping for a more even effect over the course of the day. Quite some years ago, after I failed to respond to the ADs then available and in the dosages then used, I was finally prescribed Ritalin. It worked marvelously. About a year ago it was prescribed to augment the Prozac I had been taking which had pooped out. I could not tolerate it at all; it made me feel awful. Such was my experience. The only way to tell how it will effect YOU is to try it. My fingers are crossed. I have several friends who are on Ritalin in conjunction with other AD's and they have been very successful. I, on the other hand, experienced an increase in my depressive symptoms when attempting a brief trial of Ritalin. I am ADHD, so the biochemical reaction to Ritalin is opposite to that of other people without the ADD/ADHD chemistry
