I was wondering if anyone has had the problem that I have now had for six weeks. I am unable to achieve orgasm and lately am getting terrible headaches, as I have now reduced the medication by 37.5 mg

Yes sexual dysfunction is a side effect.. happened to me.... ! the headaches are withdrawal symptoms.... go to the doctor and change meds right away..... it will save you a few of the withdrawal problems... I am not sure what dose you were on prior but I had gone up to 150mg... then change meds because of the sexual dysfunction and other problems with effexor... the headaches were the small side effects I felt .. they said i wasn't going to have withdrawal because I changed meds... they fibbed.... I'm on Effexor as well. No problems with sex -- no sex! But Effexor is notorious for withdrawal symptoms, including headaches. I know I get a major headache if I'm late for a dose. You should try to taper off very gradually if you can. I know I'm hoping to reduce my dosage in the spring, and will do it that way for sure. Also the orgasm thing is, I think, a documented side effect. Maybe there are others out there who know more thank I do.
