Question:
I am a 23 year old male, and for three years I was on Paxil and one of it's major side effects was a severe decrease in my libido. While I was on Paxil I also had difficulty achieving orgasm. I have recently switched to Wellbutrin. My libido has been restored and then some. Now when having sex I have a problem with pre-mature ejaculation. Is this a common side effect of Wellbutrin? Any suggestions?

Answer:
Paxil made it take forever, like an hour for me to have an orgasm. If it weren;t for viagra I doubt if I could have. Wellbutrin did not do anything either way, but left me at normal libideo. maybe with a little tingling after taking it. Effexor XR has given me a huge increase in libido, much more than before. But, as you will see from reading these posts, different meds affectg different people in completely different ways. I had the same problem (300mg Wellbutrin 3x day). After 6 weeks my doctor added 20mg Prozac (1 in the morning). It's only been 2 weeks, but already the premature ejaculation problem is somewhat curbed and I think the addition of the Prozac helped in my case. I am a44yr old male and I love Wellbutrin for these very reasons. After the 1st or 2nd time (each day) I find I'm not premature (just mature:)).While I'm on Wellbutrin I'm quite horny. Is that an increase in libido?
