Does anyone have information on the use of Remeron at dosages above the usual maximum dose of 45 mg.? I am getting modest results at 45 mg., and would like to go higher, but my doctor is reluctant. Any references (especially official ones) to the use of Remeron at more than 45 mg.

My psych doctor refused to let me increase beyond the 45mg. Instead he added on other meds such as Buspar and Wellbutrin. well the dosage in the uk is half a 30 mg tablet i was taking one whole one a day and sleeping for 18 hours i did wake up but just turned over and went straight back to sleep again. and over one 30 mg tablet is unheard of by my pharmacist he did not recommend one whole one at all and thought that was strange i was taking one because 1/2 a one did not do jack shit for me nor did a whole one for that matter execpt make me sleep a lot. and now i am taking none because the days were flying bye but with me in bed.
