I've tried Viagra while I was taking Luvox a few months ago and didn't feel it counteracted that SSRI's sexual side effects.
Answer:
I was on Prozac for a while. Then stopped it. When the time came for me to get put back on Ad's I really didn't want to go back to Prozac. So I tried Wellbutrin. It worked fine until the dose was increased and I got sick. So then I tried effexor. This one seems to be doing the trick. Low side effects. You might want to try this one. Ask your doctor about a new drug called something like Serentin or something close. I was told about it due to my sexual dys. on Paxil and was told this drug has little or no sexual side effects I've struggled with depression (actually I've been traumatized by it) for more than 20 years. I'm 38 now and have tried almost every medication under the sun. I'm functioning on a basic level now because of my knowledge and use of nutrition, exercise, light therapy etc. But I know that I'm still very depressed compared to what I was before I came down with it. I remember when I first was given Prozac, I almost felt giddy, probably because I was so used to not feeling close to normal. However, the loss of sexual interest was great, It didn't bother me because I wasn't practicing sex with anyone and I anticipated using the drug only for a certain period of time. The anti depressive effects wore off eventually too, and I discontinued the drug. Now, several years later, I still remember the initial effect it had on me and wonder if I could get that back without such negative side effects and without the antidepressive effecst wearing off.
