Question:
the end of my first (AND I BLOODY WELL HOPE LAST!!!!!) five-day long and extremely relentless anxiety attack landed me in the ER since the BOVINE masquerading as my dr.'s receptionist has yet to discover thast the telephone is a two-way device. i was evaluated by a very attentive resident who rehydrated me with 1000ml of electrolytes along with 1mg of iv atavan and a huge dose of iv pepcid ac to quiet my gut down.

Answer:
It was probably a paxil withdrawal symptom. I just recently went thru some pretty wierd effects as I changed to serzone, strange and vivid hallucinations going to sleep, and wierd " buzzes " in my head (seemed electrical in nature). My dr. didn't know anything about it, however after about minutes of search on the net I turned up 1/2 dozen people with the same problem. The buzzing was, at times, almost debilitating. I stepped the dosage of the serzone just a little ahead of schedule. It has been almost 5 weeks since the switch, and still occasionally get the buzzes. I can't say for sure what would have brought on this attack, but I can verify that trazodone causes mood swings, angry outbursts, and physical violence. My partner thought I was making excuses, but it was pretty obvious to me that trazodone : nastiness was a 1:1 correlation. Especially as I was able to induce the same behavior by simply going back on that crap. Don't listen to that nurse -- OF COURSE switching these powerful meds around can have adverse consequences! Zoloft put me into a state of sheer terror after two weeks, and anxiety wasn't even my problem then! Forget zoloft! When I interviewed the four other people I knew who had tried it, they all reported much the same. Not only was I freaking out, but my pupils dilated to saucers! On a small dose too! Took two days to diminish. I've had bad effects also with remeron, trazadone. Able to tolerate elavil and doxepin, but they don't seem to touch my mood, let alone sleep problem.
