How do I know when dose is right? I know the answer is going to be when I feel better..,but... I am very sensitive to medications and have increased very slowly. In the last 60+ days I have slowly increased as follows: 12.5mg, 25mg, 50mg, 62.5mg, 75mg 100mg... Yesterday I began 125mg and next week 150mg.
Answer:
I'm glad you are still hanging in there with the zoloft. how are you feeling right now? I was feeling good at 150 but went to 200 just to see if it was better. It was about the same and I have stayed on the 200mg a day. Have my ups and downs but they are normal ups and downs and not the ones from my depression. Rate yourself if you can from 1 to 10 at each dose, then see where you are now and then at 150 when the number looks good then you are where you need to be I also am very *sensitive* to the mediations. I have to start at very low doses and experiment. If I don't experience any side effects that I can't live with I try upping the dose slowly until I do then back off. That's if there is some positive effect along the way. I consider progress to be how much more functioning I can do. Do I want to do things? Am I sleeping better? Can I keep a realistic view of myself and the world? Stuff like that.
