My doctor is considering starting me on neurontin, since nothing else seems to be helping very much. I would GREATLY appreciate any feedback from anyone who has taken neurontin: positive effects, negative side effects, etc. Can it be combined with other meds?

My doctor recently prescribed neurontin for me for the same reason. It has helped me tremendously and I have no side effects. The cost of medication for depression is staggering. Sure Neurontin, Proza, Zoloft, Paxil are great meds for selected patients, but if you are uninsured and have no money how the hell do you get the meds that you need???? I just started neurotin last night in conjunction with wellbutrin. I did sleep, that's what it was for, lol, awoke & took another one, was prescribed 1-3 per night I felt a little drowsy today. It's also used to regulate or smooth moods Dr. said. The pharmacy said if you take it every night the drowsyness should dissipate. That's all I know so far & searching for knowledge too.
