At 75 mg. XR per day, Effexor improves REM sleep, but some of it is nightmares. The nightmares are worse when I add Ginkgo/Gotu Kola. Have others experienced this?

I had a few nights of nightmares when I started Effexor XR, but they enbded after about a week. Never used Gingko. If you ever decide to stop taking effexor do it gradually,I quit cold turkey and its not very pleasant....Ever wonder what it would be like in a washing machine while its running?Same difference...Hated all the side effects,so now I'm just using an anti anxiety pill(Clonazepam),sleeping pills and sheer willpower.It's bloody tuff, but atleast I don't feel like a zombie and unattached to the world.Do you know that most of these AD's aren't known for their effectiveness over 6 weeks of use?And that if this one doesn't work your PD will just keep on giving you new ones to try..Its like throwning darts."F" that!!!(Don't feel like being a guinea pig).He gave me paxil for 6 months felt great!!!Then I crashed and burned...Then effexor..what next???
