Is there anyone out there who hasn't had serious sexual side effects from Paxil? I am on 20 mg currently for only two weeks, and have difficulty even getting an erection. Will this go away, or just get worse? What would be the best med to treat depression and maintain sexual function?

I'm using Paxil now for about three weeks (or Seroxat as it is called in Holland). During the first 1 1/2 week I couldn't come to an orgasm at all, although the erection was there. Frustrating and a littlebit scary. The last 1 1/2 week it's getting better (my attempts were succesfull again......!) but it takes a very long time (half an hour or longer........). But: there is hope....!!, at least I notice some improvement....... I've been on Paxil for several months, now taking 40mg. This is my first experience with perscription anti-D. I understand the sexual function issue as I felt a change after I started taking it. But overall the med has allowed me to be more sensual and that has led to improved sexuality as well. No sex drive for 2 weeks, impotent for a week, then incredible difficulty achieving orgasm. Gingko biloba (large doses) helped a bit, but everything I read on the web suggested 75 to 100 mg Wellbutrin SR added to the Paxil ... from my experience, it WORKS. Paxil affexted me in a way i was told it wouldn't, from what i understand it will vary for some people. Paxil has a strange affect in that when i yawn, i power yawn, my eyes water and i get an erection. But "Its" not a sensitve as it was before and takes me a while to finish if at all. Most message i see though are different from my case, Wellbutrin seems to be the most popular solution.
