I'm starting to come off Paxil, I've been on 10mg a day for a year...I'd be happy to post a regular update describing the pros and cons of withdrawal from my point of view...if anyone is interested...let me know!

I'd be interested, when I stopped taking Paxil it was a real nightmare.. Even thought I did it very carefully and progressively, I was dizzy, nauseous, irritated, derealized, and so and so on. Curious to see if you're doing better (certainly do hope so for you) I stopped cold tukey.... bad move!!!! First week, I felt faint sometimes felt like I would pass out and had a strange pain go down my arm into my hand (right side). I gained 30 pounds on Paxil.... I can't wait to loose the weight and weight and the wait are killing me ; ) I do have my life back and that is what is most important. Now I want my body back! Paxil was the worst experience of my life! Getting off the drug was the second worst experience of my life! the 1st five days were great without paxil, Afterwards dizziness, nausa, and brain shocks when I would close my eyes, It took a while for me the good ol' HMO docters all had different methods. now I see a psych, and he doesn't even reccommend Paxil do to the horrible, withdrawals. i here ya there, i've been on Paxil for 3 years now, and i've tried coming off it a couple time. the nausea i can live with, but the brain shocks and dizziness is very hard to cope with, if you come off paxil try coming off slowly and continuously decrease your dose, i found that to be the best way. I stick with Paxil because it works for me, the only other drugs i tried was Serzone. big mistake, i slept about 20 hours a day.
