Question:
I'm so close to suicide. I have no energy for nothing. I just want to stay in the bed all day and night. It's like I loose my brain. I can't concentrate on nothing and I have problem with my memory. I also have panic attacks for the first time in my life. It's terrible. I also hear music in my mind, but the stereo is turned off. That makes me even more nuts and panic attacks get even worse. I don't remember how many days I did not sleep.

Answer:
You do not appear to want any help. You worry about what the meds will do for you yet you admit you have a drinking problem. Drinking and benzos are a dangerous combination. My suggestion is you do what your Dr. recommends and go for inpatient tx. You need to give up the drinking so you can take the meds that will help you, that is, if you really want to get better. Sounds to me like you want to continue to spin your wheels. Don't worry about your English, you did very well (BTW, this is a worldwide service so you may try writing in your own language). Unfortunately, I can't answer your question about the Benzos, which is why I am leaving this answer in the public domain. Maybe someone else with experience in them can help you. But never mix booze with Prozac. My effects were minor, but another person that I knew who was on it almost required a stomach pumping after mixing the two. Nor will Prozac turn you into a "zombie". Prozac will even your moods out, not send you to bed. You also said that you drink a lot of beer. Are you from an alcoholic background? Be honest on this one. Sometimes that helps more than anything. I know alcohol is a depressant, and so I hesitate to say anything in this context that might encourage its use, but I also believe in getting and giving "the big picture", so I have to say that I've had no problems whatsoever mixing beer and Prozac. Not that I'm a big drinker. We're talking an absolute maximum of 4 pints of fairly strong beer, and usually just 2. At first I seemed to find that the usual effects of alcohol were enhanced, but as I learned to live with Prozac generally, I found that my drinking experiences were no different than before starting the med. (I'm on the minimum dose, 20mg/day.) First, I would stop the drinking...I know it's harder than hell, especially when drinking was the only thing that liked you back, believe me I've been there. I've been fighting depression and anxiety for 15 years. Although I've come a long way...I still take even though I may not agreed my Drs advise..ref to inpatient and outpatient...yes I agreed if you can do it all outpatient by means do it as an outpatient...My only concern is that Benzos and alchol aren't a good combination.......even though you may not feel any side effects.....and try not to think so hard....it's corny it's old but it works.....one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time, then your life. takes care of it self. This is only a suggestion of my approach.
