Has anyone else had similar experiences with Paxil -- specifically with the weight gain?

Oh yeah, about the weight gain..... I didn't notice much weight gain with zoloft, paxil, prozac....but after I started effexor, I started gaining weight. I increased my excercise, went on an incredibly spartan diet, and still had trouble staying within 10 lbs of my historic normal weight. I quit effexor in June, and in the last couple weeks, I have come within 5 lbs of my normal weight, but I'm still eating air for breakfast and lunch, along with a large helping of air at dinner. The increased excercise has been good for me, but the weight gain thing sucks, cuz I tend to eat more when I am depressed. Yeah, this is unfortunately a fairly common side effect. I've been on Zoloft for a year. I'm a 6'2" 26 y.o. male, and I was underweight when I started taking it (about 165 lbs, when 185 is normal for me). The drug worked and I started eating again and was delighted to regain the weight, but it didn't stop there, and I've been at 210 lbs for awhile now, holding steady through exercise and low- or non-fat foods. I've never topped 200 in my life and have had to readjust my self-image somewhat. I'd like to lose the excess weight, but I'm philiospophical about it: I'd MUCH rather be 25 lbs overweight than deprerssed again. I have taken SSRI's for almost 3 years, with two short breaks of a couple months each. In 1995, I took paxil for about 3 months. I was taking the max dose, and was having problems with side effects. My pdoc was gonna switch me to another SSRI, so he had me taper off in 3 days. I got really sick, didn't know if it was the new med or what, so I stopped everything. I was pretty sick for 2 weeks. The effects gradually wore off.
