The critics of prozac need to tell us what their recommendation would be to someone with major depression?? If not an ssri, then what?

I agree that they are under a moral obligation to come up with an alternative to what is an effective treatment for a lot of people who suffer from a disorder with a high mortality rate. But, since being positive tends not to be the nature of critics, I don't expect it. ;) i agree, where ssri may not be appropriate for mild to moderate depression - had i not gotten paxil when i did, i would be a smear mark on 6th avenue, in the middle of the diamond district, by now.... it kept me up long enough to examine some other options for getting rid of my depression - and a combination of diet, acupuncture, and stress management seems to have done the trick for me.... :) Side effect or after effect. Structural change or no structural change.......Whatever. All I know is that I haven't been the "same" sexually since I took Effexor. And I quit a year ago!
