Does anyone know of any other good medications besides Trazodone to treat these kind of headaches?

Once I got a chance to look into the Trazodone, I found that it is also used to treat depression, which I already take Lexapro for that. When I was being counseled on this drug by the pharmacist, I remember she referred to the drug as a modified tricyclic drug. I had previously been on amitriptyline (Elavil) and nortriptyline in the past (not at the same time), and was wondering if the Trazodone has any of the same side effects that the amitriptlyine has? The one bothersome side effect that I had with the Amitriptlyine was that while I was on it, I had trouble peeing. I would have the urge to go, but it would take longer than usual just to get started, which is why I switched over to the Nortriptyline. Does anyone know if the Trazodone has any similar side effects? Are there any other medications out there that are good at treating headaches? I'm not sure my headaches would be classified as migraines, but they are an everyday issue. My headaches came about after I had numerous brain surgeries to fix a problem I had with hydrocephalus and a cyst on my optic nerve. Of course, I had headaches as a symptom of the hydrocephalus and the cyst, however, even after all of the surgeries, I still have the headaches. Does anyone know of any other good medications besides Trazodone to treat these kind of headaches? One side effect that I get would be considered the asset. Trazodone helps me to sleep. What my doctor told me was that Trazodone was little used for depression because it would often make the patient sleepy. That is why I do take it. I take Wellbutrin for depression and a large dose of Adderall RX for my ADD symptoms. The latter can make it difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep. Therefore when the ADD meds are talken later in the day I am to take the Trazodone for sleep 45 minutes before retiring.. Too high a dose did allow me to sleep but resulted in a hazy sensaton for 30 minutes or more on awakening. The adjusted doseage eliminated that problem.
