Anyone here who's tried St John Wort tell me the kind of effect it had?

Currently I'm taking 30 mg of Paxil, without too much success. So i'm thinking of adding 900 mg of St John's Wort per day. However I have read that combining an SSRI like Paxil with St John's Wort can increase the chances of Seratonin syndrome. Is this a real risk, or do you reckon I can get away with adding St John's Wort to the Paxil. I have read from other people that St John's Wort tends to make you even more emotionless. I am worried about this, since due to my depression I already have no emotions. I am concerned that if I take St John's Wort that I will become even more emotionless. Anyone here who's tried St John Wort tell me the kind of effect it had? I took St. John's Wort for awhile (not with an SSRI, though), and it didn't really have any effect at all that I could tell. Other people have had better luck, and maybe some of them will answer your post. Have you considered talking with your doctor about supplementing the Paxil with something else, like Wellbutrin, for example? Maybe he/she has some ideas that would be more effective and less risky.
