Answer:
Well, I went on Mannerix for about two months and found it did NOTHING for me. It was almost like I was taking a placebo. It is not a very strong a/d, and only stays in your body for about half a day, thats why you need 2x a day dosing. You might wanna give it a shot, though, since everyones body is different. I am on 450 mg Aurorix (aka Moclobemide & Manerix). I've been on it for about 5 months. After about 4 weeks I felt very well for about 2 weeks, then it faded. My Dr, who is a Manerix fan, said It was better to take the whole daily dose after breakfast. After experimenting, I found I seemed to get less depressed if I took divided doses. She said this didn't really make sense as it shouldn't make any difference, but that the patient was always right. I also reported that I felt better on day one, but she said that was probably imagined. If what you say is true it explains all this, as well as the fact that I get periods of quite bad depression, especially in the morning (a long time since the last dose). Metabolised away is an expression. Your body can metabolize one once of alcohol every hour, but we all can get drunk. And if you drink enough, you will wake up the next morning, still drunk. also there are two ways anitdepressants are metabolised, one is in the liver, to get it into your system in the first place, and the other is in the brain, where it is metabolised to yield its benefit.
