I am looking for someone with similar experience that can share any ideas about my problem. I have had a severe problem with sleeping for the past several weeks. I am also experiencing depresion to point where I am completely unable to function normally.

I started on zoloft and it worked well for awhile and then lost it's effectivness. I am now on paxil and it works well for me. You may want to consider zoloft. Initially I was apprehensive about taking meds to help with my depression but have found that I require it as a base to deal with my other issues. I was put on trazadone when I was first put on AD's Cotton mouth is a normal side effect. it was the only thing that helped me sleep. I dont know anything specific about the other anti depressants, ( I am on Prozac) but they all have side effects and most go away once your body adjusts to them. You might want to ask your DR if you can try some herbal/natural remedies like St. Johns Wort. or maybe find a new Dr. AN orthomolecular DR would be best ( uses nutrition and natural herbs & vitamins for treatment.)
