I have just been scheduled to change over to this med.. Can anyone tell me of their experience with this medication. Have taken wellbutrin and am coming of serzone. Some improvement but not enough.
Answer:
I have been taking Efflexor for a week....was switched from Paxil, which did zero for me. Neither did Welbutrin. Zoloft helped a little, but not much for about a year. I HAVE felt a noticeable improvement during the week I have been on Efflexor, and I am hoping that it continues. BTW I don;t suffer from anxiety at all and don't feel gloomy. The symptoms I am hoping to correct are extreme apathy and procrastination. I have spent days at a time without going outside and have spent as much as a whole day laying in bed and "sort of" watching tv. And with those symptoms of course I have a horrendous sleep pattern. I mentioned this because from reading the posts here it seems like people that suffer from sever anxiety experience more powerful side effects and withdrawal symptoms from stopping a particular med or switching meds than myself. I have not had any withdrawal symptoms from any of the med stopping or switching I've been doing. I start the Effexor tomorrow... 37.5 mg for 7 days then 75 mg for seven, I then return to the pdr for more and to check for any improvement.
