Has anyone tried this drug? Everything I have read about it is good, except for the fact that it is not approved by the FDA. Which brings me to a second question, I found a web site called Vitality Health Care and they say they will ship anywhere, anyone heard of them? I'm currently taking Effexor Xr and kinda of happy with it, but not happy with added pound and low motivation and my pdoc seems to think it's working ok.
Answer:
It is a good drug to try, the fact that it's not approved by the FDA doesn't mean it's not safe, since there are a lot of drugs that don't come to the U.S. simply because of the huge costs involved in approving them here. It is approved in France, and that's not saying nothing. Yes, Vitality Health has been shipping medications for a while now and they are reputable. Here are other places that also ship medications. I have personally ordered from Masters Marketing, PharmacyInternational, and Lotus International. According to Vitality Health Products, you don't need a script, but if you have one they will include it when they mail your order. They say a person can order up to a 3 month supply of any of the drugs they sell and it is legal. I can understand how this would be hard to believe, seeing as how it is so a fact of life in the U.S. that you 'must' have a prescription. But in the 80's the AIDS lobbyists forced the government to make changes to the laws regarding obtaining drugs. Since there were no drugs approved in the U.S. and they took so long to approve, and people were dying and desperate, they demanded that they at least have access to drugs from foreign countries, whether they really did help or not. The AIDS lobbyists were such a strong force and their case was such a sensitive one that they got what they wanted. Fortunately the government didn't just pass a law that said people with AIDS, cancer or other terminal illnesses could buy drugs from abroad, but instead they passed a general law that said any person could import up to a 3 month supply of drugs with the exception of the controlled drugs like cocaine, heroin, etc. Why they allowed the general public to import drugs instead of just limiting it to people with terminal illness I don't know, maybe it wouldn't be plausible to check everyone to see if they really had a terminal illness, but I really don't know why. They did succeed in keeping it quiet though since hardly anyone knows about it except for people with debilitating illnesses.
