I have been taking Cylexa, just increased to 20 mg three days ago, was taking 10mg since 12/21. At times, my lips are irritated,and the inside of my mouth- Also, my back is killing me, from my neck to the lower back, and shoulders too- Anyone ever have these reactions- my doctor says the back trouble isn't from the medication, and the lips stuff should go away (he recommended yogurt).

I too have noticed the lip and mouth irritation, but I thought it was because I'm sensitive to most meds. Anyone have the lip irritation? Mine are cracking at the corners...which is not something I want to continue to experience. Cekexa has a website - forest pharmaceutical in Ireland - sorry i forget it right now. It lists all side effects quite well. SInce i had a severe adverse reaction that started like you are - i would read everything i can get on this new drug. I spoke to the research people for Forest In St.Louis recently and they are compiling adverse reactions The one good thing to be said about Celexa is that it's been used in Europe for almost 10 years, so it's not an upstart with no patient/user history. But it IS very true that adverse reactions can happen to one individual when it works fine for others. What other adverse effects is the company tracking? I've read the labeling info at the site, which is no different from other SSRIs. In fact, it is better metabolized than others. was wondering if anyone has any information, either documented or personal, about going on prozac after a succesful time on it, and a break off it. in other words, it worked well for me for two years, i had a time off it cause it stopped working, and i wondered if it would be wise to try it again, if maybe there's a factor of second tries.
